13) Loyals – Loyals

Tooth And Nail Records knocked one out of the park with the signing of Loyals in 2018 – a welcome diverse addition to their lineup. Their self titled debut is pop perfection, and I don’t say that lightly. Is it lyrically deep? No. Is it super original? Not exactly. But is it ridiculous ear candy? Give this thing a spin and you won’t put it down for a week. It’s straight up pop, but they don’t shy away from the tight guitar riffs that so many do these days on the radio, and that sells them so differently. Mind Up and Bail Out are easily two of the most catchy things you’ll hear all year. They should be at the top of the Billboard charts and opening for Maroon 5.
