15) Hot Snakes – Jericho Sirens
Record number four finally comes fourteen years after record number three, and the John Reis / Rick Froberg chemistry is as alive as ever. This is the original post hardcore of the 90s as it should be – forget whatever the 2000s told you it was (My Chemical Romance? Please.) Death Doula chugs away in a wonderfully demented dream of harmony and grind, and I Need A Doctor kicks the whole thing off with a true-to-form punk jam. Is it their absolute best work? No. But is anyone else doing their part to keep this style alive? Certainly not.
